Sunday Links: According to Jim

Jim Sterling

High Voltage Software developers were caught giving bad reviews on Amazon to a book written by Joystiq author Matt Corso. Corso had given Conduit 2 a bad review and spoiled the ending for readers, so the devs were kinda butthurt about it. Destructoid’s Jim Sterling calls the developers’ actions "pretty pathetic, whatever way you slice it."

In February, Carol Lieberman’s book received similar treatment from gamers after she claimed that video games cause rape. Destructoid’s Jim Sterling said that "maybe it will teach Lieberman that spouting off ignorant bullshit for the salivation of FOX readers does have repercussions."

Three years ago, Cooper Lawrence’s book was also trashed by gamers on Amazon after she said some bad stuff about Mass Effect that just wasn’t true. Destructoid’s Jim Sterling said that "this kind of movement is something that these miserable hacks actually understand, and I’m not going to condemn a bit of good old-fashioned karma. Cooper Lawrence deserves this."

So if someone says something you don’t like and you decide to retaliate by writing bad reviews on Amazon, Destructoid’s Jim Sterling will support you 66% of the way.
