For the past month and a half, since the launch of 34D Version 6, I've been trying to do the daily news thing and only occasionally succeeding. I simply don't care enough to find more than one or two stories per day and apply what I consider to be humour to them, so I'm not going to try that any more. I'm taking the site back to the good old days when I only posted if I had something to say.

I'm doing this in the hope that operating this site won't drag my will to live down any further than it already is. It's been a lot of effort with very little payoff (27 registered members and about 50 readers per day), which is a lot less than I had hoped we'd have by this time. The GOG contest will still be going, of course, though most of the new members haven't fulfilled half of the necessary requirements to actually win it, so I have a feeling that I'll never be required to pay up. Your faults, not mine.

So, because updates are going to be a lot more sporadic, my first priority will be to get the RSS feed updating properly. When it's finished you'll be able to subscribe and maybe once every couple of weeks you'll get a notification that, hey, maybe Eek or Psycho Gorilla posted has something new!

So it's being read by 10 times more people than Psycho Gorilla Games? AND THE SITE WORKS THRICE AS EFFICIENTLY.

Saddest thing about the freewebs site is that you can blacktually take the number of features/updates on there and double it, since the Author CP on there is the worst I've ever worked with, and I learned the hard way that "SUBMIT" was just another word for "DELETE ALL."

Also, something seems to be working, because I remember whenever I would inform people of my updates on a gayme forum like gaymehiros or jewablack, it was a guaranteed way to kill the thread forever.

Freewebs sounds like Homestead from back in the day. Everything on there was a thousand times worse than what was on Angelfire, Geocities and Tripod (which I'm still convinced is a gay porn facilitator).

Someday this site may be popular enough to attract people and money, but, contrary to what I've been told, spamming the front page with news stories doesn't seem to help. Too bad the point of the redesign was to facilitate the news bloggeriness. TIME TO SPEND ANOTHER FOUR MONTHS ON A NEW DESIGN! lol, j/k (or am I?). I might just revert to Version 3 since that was the last one that I liked.

My next post will probably be about how the GameCube was, like, the bestest gamesy system EVAR!
